Barnsley children and young people - aiming high, enjoying life and seizing opportunity

We will:

• Improve children´s health with an emphasis of reducing obesity.
• Reduce bullying.
• Reduce teenage pregnancy rates.
• Support a range of youth crime initiatives.
• Provide play opportunities to help promote personal development, health and wellbeing.
• Reach expected levels of literacy and numeracy.
• Increase young people´s participation in positive activities – for example by providing opportunities for volunteering.
• Reduce child poverty.

One Barnsley's delivery partnerships ensure that our ambitions are delivered. Much of this ambition will bedelivered by the Children and Young People’s Trust.

The issues group “Fit for the future” and “Equalities Diversity and Inclusion Partnership” continue to exist and support the work of the Children and Young People’s Trust.
